As part of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) COVID-19 Neighborhood Test Site initiative, DHD#10 coordinated this effort with help from the Mason County Emergency Manager as well as local law enforcement and fire services.
Pre-registration for the COVID-19 test is encouraged by signing up at honu.dxresults.com or calling 855-873-6996. If you are unable to register ahead of time, you can do so at the event.
There is no out-of-pocket charge for the COVID-19 test but if you have an insurance card, bring it and it will be billed to recoup costs.
In addition to the drive-through COVID-19 testing, DHD#10 is providing flu shots to anyone wanting one. Both the COVID-19 testing clinic and the flu clinic are available to anyone aged 6 months and up.
Again, for the flu clinic there is no out-of-pocket costs for participants. If you have an insurance card, bring it and insurance will be billed. The vaccine is free for those without insurance.
For those who need a flu shot and cannot make an event, additional clinics are available through local health departments or by calling your primary care provider.
Anyone getting a flu shot during this drive-thru event will also receive a $5 Subway gift card, courtesy of West Shore Bank who provided the funds for the gift cards.
