On average, full-time, working Americans spend more than one-third of their day, five days per week, in the workplace. The use of effective workplace programs and policies can reduce health risks and improve the quality of life for American workers.
District Health Department #10 offers workplace health promotion programming from employee wellness screenings to initiatives that create healthy work sites through policy development and environmental changes. Research has shown that targeting policy, system and environmental change is more effective in creating a healthy workforce and community.
